A few days ago I went back to a very old, small abandoned Church that I hunted over 10 years ago.
Well ... the Church was gone - the neighbor told me it was torn down 6 or 7 years ago - junk metal everywhere !
Grid searched the area for over 3 hours with the Deus 2 using Gary's "Tekkna" program.

Barber Quarter - 1908-O
Mercury Dimes - 1918 & 1919
Roosevelt Dime - 1947
Indian Cents - 1866 - 1889 - 1890
Wheat Cent - 1918

Good Hunting !

Why did you stop 10 years ago? You had left much behind and I'm willing to bet there's more there yet! :tongue3:
I didn't go back to this Church site for a few reasons.
It's very far from where I live - it was Winter and snowing and when I hunted there years ago I was using my E-Trac.
The E-Trac is a fantastic machine but they have very slow processors.
The Deus 1 & 2 have lightning fast recovery speeds in a iron infested areas - that's why I did so well on this hunt.
And yes, I think will go back again just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

The program is a site changer.
Congratulations on the silvers and IHPs
I agree - "Tekkna" is a fantastic program in a Iron infested site.
I'll be going back to as many of my old junk metal sites as possible.
"Tekkna" also hits deep on cleaner ground - I dug a Miner's Tag last week that was a measured - 9 1/2" down.
I haven't tried the "Legacy" program but I've heard a lot of good things about it.

I was playing in a blacksmithing site yesterday. Went from 0-70 discrimination on the program. Getting a single nonferrous target there is a good play.

Nice early date on the Indian head! All your finds are great...I would have been pleased as punch!

Sorry, I had missed the detail about the program in your original post. While I believe the program was a contributing factor to your amazing hunt, I'm also a firm believer that a site is just never hunted out. Go back with any detector - there's more to be found! Being a distance from the house does make it tough though. Thanks for sharing!

look at that beautiful old silver! well played friend and thanks for posting

I'd say it was worth the return trip ! Great finds.
Well, I just did do a return hunt.
Hunted the same area again, really slow and from a different direction.
Found nothing at all - the good news I feel fairly confident I got everything or close to it on the first hunt.
