Barber & SLQ

Back to the tourist camp today to avoid the mud and cold wind. Searched
an area that looked like another dirt road headed towards the river. Picked
up a 7up bottle then dug some copper tubing before getting a 1918 Wheatie.
Scanned near 1 of only a few large trees and up rings in a sweet 25cent signal,
small in diameter, I'm hoping, dig, and out pops 2 silver discs. AWESOME.
The barber was a complete surprise to me since this site dates 20's-50's.
Come across a 6 point rack, both were next to each other, pulled them from
the leaves to find them tied together, they were a hunters PLASTIC pair.
Hope to get in another hunt tomorrow. HH DFW

Re: Barber & SLQ

Awesome finds! Gotta love when two quarters come out of the hole.

Re: Barber & SLQ

great finds, always a good day when theres silver, let alone 2 quarters! glad to see the research is paying off

Re: Barber & SLQ

Great hunting bud, man that weird to find a magazine discarded, I mean I ditched plenty of mag's in the USMC but here in the USA???

Re: Barber & SLQ

great finds rich, coins, condom, and clip.

Re: Barber & SLQ

Sweet luck!

You Like It It Likes You! before it became the Uncola.

That rack looks like both halves of the one Mark got the other day but his did look a little more real.

Keep bringing home the goods Rich!

Re: Barber & SLQ

WOW! That's a nice spill to find! Just wait till you find the ball field there...

Is that a .22 banana clip?

Re: Barber & SLQ

Nice pair of quarters and other finds! Good to see that place is still producing.

Tomorrow morning I'll check it out and let ya know. Something
didn't look right about it. The area of the bullet ends looked like
round balls, it was fully loaded.

Re: Barber & SLQ

Here is a few pics of the clip I found. I don't know anything about it.

Re: Barber & SLQ

Original Scorpion Vz series is a .32 full auto pistol from the Czechs.

Designed for special purpose use but the mag you found is for one of the airsoft variants. Either spring or electric powered they are a fairly cheapo rig and it probably got tossed by whoever used it as they have loading and operating issues even in the play models.

Re: Barber & SLQ

You found a lot of great coins. Congratulations they look nice.

Re: Barber & SLQ

Congrats on the Type 1 SLQ! Pretty hard to find those in any condition. Don't see any mintmark, so either a 1916 (big $$$) or 1917. Like the clip muchly, especially with amo still in place!
