It rained all morning & early afternoon :thumbsup:
We nearly took our 'eye of the ball' this afternoon, as we had a few more harvested Barley fields to choose from. However, none of them were a target field, although 1 was the field I got the banner Henry I :) So we were nearly pulled from our objective of covering as much of the current field as poss. As Dad is away tomorrow, I will be trying the Henry I Field as its within cycle distance. (it is a pretty tough field though) :-\

Today's 4 hours (8 man/Hrs) was full of the usual modern junk for this field which drove me somewhat crazy :P
It was however another productive hunt with;
The 3rd Saxon Brooch piece from the land :headbang: (Dad got it)
Edward I Hammered Penny (Dad) :)
Tudor Buckle & Pin (Dad)
1 Scrappy Roman Coin
Not to be out done by the Cortes I fought back with;
My first Scottish hammered of this type - James VI, 1601-03,Eighth Thistle Merk 8)
My most complete 11th-13th C Dog Swivel :) (could be Norman, but equally very late Saxon or early Med.) :thumbsup:
Medieval Casket Key :)
Broken late Medieval Spur
3 Scrappies & 1 Album Rom & Rem :)
A mystery Ancient whatzit (maybe a Roman Box Seal Lid) Needs research.
Update - Similar enough I think: :thumbsup:

It locks a small casket (box) which probably had some nice goodies :laughing7:

The Irish (I assume) copper 1723 is a great find for the US, I only have a couple myself, & I'm much closer to Ireland :thumbsup:

Not sure where you are but some hammered of the later periods do turn up over there :wink:

No need, you suck up Spanish silver that I still haven't found.

The good stuff! I found a silver coin yesterday with a similar coat of arms on that Scott coin, rampant lion facing left. HH and nice hunt, Mike

Yes...but my oldest coin only goes back to George the 1st.
