That's a beautiful creature and a great picture. You can ask him to come down and tell you stories, and he will if he's interested in sharing at the moment. A coyote did that and the two became friends after they ate together (it's a long story).

I've got a Barred Owl that sits in a tree outside my bedroom window. In the warmer months I can open the window, hear the river running and the occasional "Hoot!".

Sadly, it seems the Barred Owl is in the way of another owl, the Spotted one, and the future's not so bright for the Barred.
