I found this ring along with quite a few other designs at my favorite field.

I believe it's a gumball machine toy ring. Google it and you will see some examples.

look close above the crossed bats and you should see Ted Williams' name. it was a cereal premium from Nabisco in 1948. it had quite the topper to it.
