I got permission to hunt a small yard in a residential neighborhood, near Fort Early in Lynchburg VA. It's and earthworks a little over an acre . Confederate forces under the command of Lt. Gen. Jubal Early constructed the fort in 1864 as part of the outer defenses of Lynchburg as the Union Army of West Virginia, under Maj. Gen. David Hunter, advanced from the north and west in an attempt to capture the city during the Battle of Lynchburg. It is the only section of the Lynchburg defenses still in existence.

Nice lead! Love the pics it's been awhile since I've dug a bullet I've been dying to go dig some but I have to drive do far and my girls 8 1/2 months pregnant. Better stay close lol

I will get my shot this coming spring to find one. Going to Bunker Hill WV.

Love CW lead. Getting kinda hard to find around here.

I want so badly to hunt an area with the potential to find CW relics. I would be very tickled to find a bullet such as the one you found. Excellent job.
