Goldfield is an unincorporated community and the county seat of Esmeralda County, Nevada, United States. It is a census-designated place (CDP), with a resident population of 268 at the 2010 census,[1] down from 440 at the 2000 census. It is located 247 miles (398 km) southeast of Carson City, along U.S. Route 95. Goldfield was a boomtown in the first decade of the 20th century due to the discovery of gold — between 1903 and 1940, Goldfield's mines produced more than $86 million. Much of the town was destroyed by a fire in 1923, although several buildings survived and remain today, notably the Goldfield Hotel, the Consolidated Mines Building (the communications center of the town until 1963), and the schoolhouse. Gold exploration continues in and around the town today

Goldfield's a really neat town. Many artifacts, and old mining equipment. An interesting tidbit about Goldfield....the guy who played "Harry" in the Magnificent Seven was born there.

Looks like they Cut the Corner of the Porch away where Nelson was Sitting.
But the Pole Nolan was Leaning against is still there.
so is the White Building across 95

I don't know, Jeff. The porch roof lines are different. in the old pic, the porch roof is even, and wraps around. In the newer pic, the roof is higher on the right. Also the porch posts aren't the same. Could be, but not definitive. Often, builders use the same basic design, with minor changes, when they build. Might have been built by the same guy.

because of the Post that it appears Nelson has his foot up against,
I can't tell if that Pyramid shaped Mound is Back there or Not.
to me it appears to be back there but it could be wishful thinking :laughing7:

There is over 100 years Between

Just like the Porch appears Changed the Porch Roof could have been redone also.
The pic was taken in 'o7 in '23 Most of the Town burned.
The change could be blamed on Fire damage.
But I agree the differences make it impossible to be sure
