Hello Everyone, I found these items last week in N.E. Georgia.I believe the bayonet is from an Enfield rifle. It is my first miltary find, and one of the most interesting things I have found. I found it at an old homestead near the Savannah river, where I usually find farming items from the 1800's to 1900's...

The bayonet looks like CS to me but need to see to in my hand.
Get you a book or two and that will help on IDs
I have a few that I use one is by Howard R. Crouch the name is Civil War Artifacts a guide for the Historian.
Thats was the first book that I got and that was some time back, you can find more up to date ones to day.

That's a nice find for your first, good job!

Nice bayonet, I never found one, but I have found plows. I ususlly clean them up, but not to much, and mount them on black walnut packs. Here is one. Frankplow 700.webp
