Take it to a jeweler does it steam up when you breath on it is it set in gold platinum silver any markings take a pic of the bottom how the stone is mounted. Hope it is

Ring appears to be silver and silver is not usually used with diamonds.

What ever you do don't leave it with the jeweler. I did that and he replaced a 2 ct diamond with a fake stone. Learned my lesson.
