Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.

It was a slim picking sea glass hunt for me at my usual spot because of wind driven shore grass clumps covering up much of the deposit zones. The tough to find dark purple light bulb insulator glass is nice. My girlfriend picked it up and put it down thinking it was a button. I found it and knew what it was. She wasn't thrilled. All in good fun though. Friendly competition.

The other beach happened to have a fairly negative tide and while finding tumbled glass on it is difficult, the muddy sand absorbs glass shards and they don't tumble much if at all, I do find whole bottles. Often they are just trash. But this is my second whole milk bottle and 2nd coke bottle. Sadly the milk bottle has a crack.

They aren't usually whole like this. The pieces are so dark they are often mistaken for a rock. Here's a good article on them. And a better photo. Thanks for the likes everyone. In kind of a detecting slump where I can't find anything even a wheat cent.
