Howdy T-netters! Went to St Augustine Beach first and got off to a slow start. Believe the beach had been dredged. Found a dime and nickel after a while. Then, about thirty feet into the water fished out a huge costume ring. Just after that, Mr. Crabs made his appearance. He had one eye, so I assume he lost his eye patch.....lol. Found about a one inch shark tooth on the way out. Good enough for a necklace piece to wear for shark week down here.

Hit the road about 10 miles south to Matanzas Inlet. Would love to find artifacts from the battle that took place nearby in the late 1500s between Jean Ribault's French vs the Spaniards, but the south end of this inlet is about the closest I will ever get without a fishing boat. Left the phone in the car, so the videos suffered. Right after I balanced my detector I got a crazy good hit a half inch down. The guy I was talking to when I was booting up again believes it to be a meteorite. Hope it is. I like to find odd, uncommon items. My son found several starfish (Patrick's family) and large shells, to include a very small conch shell. Not a bad days work. Please watch my videos on youtube under Wild WildBill/St Augustine Beach and Matanzas Inlet and let me know if you think I may have found a meteorite. Enjoy! HH!

No offense, but your photos are terrible.....and sideways?? There has to be some sun in Florida to give you some good lighting for your photos. Good luck with your id though the odds are against it being a meteorite.

Really nothing to do with lighting. I'm using an iPad and a droid for my pics. Can't afford high end or better devices. Three needy teenagers make it tough.

nice finds. Take it to one of the local museums or planetariums for an opinion. Don't let it out of your site though. It might grow legs.

Lighting has everything to do with it

Yeah, but I either get too much, or not enough. If it was a coin I wouldn't have as much a problem. I think it's just picture shy.
