Little long but amazing write up..Thanks for sharing Jeff!

That was very interesting....... seems they felt the same about returns that people was glad someone else put in the effort and time to find it for them with little appreciation. Local guy gave back a found $20000 ring recently..... with an approximate reward of .01%. Its not the profit....... but the lack of appreciation i think they felt back then and now.

Well that was a fascinating read, and an interesting look into the fact that human nature never really changes! Thanks for posting this!

Super post! Thank's for sharing with us!!:occasion14:

Great post and interesting read. Is that where beach “comber” originates from? From combing the beach for targets.

Thanks for that info.

GREAT find and post Jeff, absolutely enjoyed reading it.

Great Read and Really Historically Informative!

I knew that looking for dropped valuables happened/happens at traveling carnivals and the old revivals after closing by the workers, but I had never thought about the beach for some reason.

Thanks for posting this! Fun Read.

Once saw a guy go through major effort to return a class ring... when the owner showed up he had already purchased a replacement long long ago ... but took the original ring, which didn't fit him anymore, and really seemed uninterested like he couldn't care less about it. But hey it was forum bragging rights you know.
