Hey  all  I  have  a  like  new  sunspot  stealth  beach  scoop. I  need  to  shed  some  of  the  weight  of  thing  or   Its  got to  go  ..  If  I   put  an  a allumunim  handle  on this   scoop  would   that  help ???. I can't  tote  the  thing  on the  beach  the  way  it is , it  is   to  damned  heavy.. somebody could   get  a  sweet   deal on  this  right  now.. Im not  kidding...... Guzz1

No I haven't experienced that on mine at all yet. Could be the area your hunting is a lot rockier then mine or yours scoop is defective, I would lean to the area your hunting being rockier or heavly shelled probably.

I didnt have that on my old scoop either, but I did get the old one snagged on what turned out to be end of an old steel drain pipe and I kept prying on it, curious to see what it was and put a small tear in it. I got it spot welded.

A SS blade tip on it should fix that. I have thought of doing the same on mine just to have a longer lip......
