IMG_20150118_141423759.webp Out today in north west Florida. Took a photo of the beach machines we use here. Looks like this one wont pick up coins. Good to know. But it might pick up chain or two. Thought you guys might like to see photo.

The best things about those beach cleaners are that they can't go into the water or the wet sand.
 

The ones we have around here do a good job. Yes id say a chain gets gone ..... ive always wanted to check that sand in them.... like most people who stand there and watch them work. Most are separated enought to leave us the rings and coils we are looking for...... oh and that pesty foil.
 

I always wondered about the design of those machines. Sure looks like rings are safe from them. Thanks for posting.
 

Those wire tangs aren't likely to do much, probably hits a few inches into the sand with little ability to pick up anything. It is meant to spread the soil evenly. It's probably great at shredding aluminum cans though.
