Hit the beach again yesterday with some lower expectations being that most everything has been seeing some good sand accumulation but there are still a few spots where the tgts have been pushed up higher on to the slope. Since I and others have been hitting those spots I didn't think I'd see a whole lot of good stuff but boy was I wrong. I spent about 5 hrs just working the slope and it really paid off. Silver cons and wheat pennies were everywhere! I dug more pre-1950's change than clad. Have to pack today so I'll leave it to Denny, Max and others to continue checking to see how these places are producing. Good luck to the local guys!

Total count at the end was 1 x Silver toe ring, 1 x Silver Washington quarter, 5 x Silver War nickels, 9 x Silver Mercury dimes, 2 x Buffalo nickels and 20 x wheat pennies. Great way to end my VB hunts until I return from my Cali trip this week. Hoping fore some good luck out there as well but not sure how much time I'll have to hunt but I know I'll squeeze a few in here and there when I can. If anyone is out there between Santa Monica and Huntingdon Beach, you may run into me! (Procali, don't know if I'll get that far south where you are but perhaps we can meet somewhere in the middle!)

Good luck all!

That is an awesome hunt. Too bad you have to leave it to others. There has to be gold hiding in that slope.

Yes, that's a good spot when you see the coins that have been there for some time.....I always check the age of the coins and always happy when I get them and know the spot has not been hit for some time.:occasion14:
