Went to St Pete Beaches yesterday to try and catch the low tide. The beaches are so sanded in that you might get 1 target in 20 minutes. Only area that produced was where the beach sand had been washed away. Found a nice 925 silver spinner ring in the wet sand. Only got 3 targets in the water after 3 1/2 hrs. of detecting.

After carefully poring over my calculations, that comes out to...less than 1 target per hour! What patience!

Looks like patience paid off. Nice find! I lived in Clearwater for years (went through several hurricanes), still have family in St. Pete, Largo, and Tampa. They sent me a lot of photos, and wow, could not beleive the amount of water. I heard the Skyway was shutdown and water was cresting the Howard Franklin...amazing.

Nice goin' on the silver spinner ring find, Les!

Thats a hefty looking ring. Had you stayed one more hours...... thats where the gold was.

Very nice ring.

Nice silver...next best thing to gold and way better than a coin.

Very Nice Les. It looks like Debby moved all of the beach renourishment along the south up toward Clearwater Beach. It was sanded in before her, now its worse. Just a few coins , some crusty, some green.
