I finally broke down and purchased my first metal detector.

Wish me luck.

If anyone is in the Lake Worth area of Florida in Palm Beach, let me know. I would love to go beach hunting with some people.

The Beach Hunter ID is a great detector for the beach. If you take it wading you will find the coil wants to float, this gets hard to control as it is not weighted. This is fine for out of the water. If you find you do a lot of in the water searching and the lose of weight bothers you, you can add a sock of sand to the coil or send it back to Whites for a weighted coil which they make for the Beach Hunter ID. However then the coil is heavier out of the water.
