"Amlash" eye bead. Central Asia .
According to Jan Skipper, Jamey Allen, and et al., Amlash is/was an archaeological site in early Iran, dating from approximately 500-300BC. The term "Amlash" eye bead was applied to the beads with "mosaic"/"millefiori" type beads as opposed to the earlier, and later, "stratified" eye beads, commonly referred to as "Phoenician" eye beads.....later the term "Amlash" was loosely thrown around to mean any old eye bead from the general area.
