I have been reading about the S-12 and 15" WOT coil. I have a GT which I have had for about 6 months and am still learning it. The coils are alot of money, but I am leaning toward an S-12, based on what I have read. I just want to be confident, based on other's experience, as to which coil to order. I have a field in mind where I believe the CW stuff is deep. Anyway, if I could just have some explanations as to which large coil people love, I would appreciate it, particularly for Eastern NC fields. Let us beat this horse some more with joy in our hearts....please. I want to spend my money wisely. Bryan

Purchase the S-12 and WOT... let us use them and we will let you know which is better... I'd say that would be money spent wisely.

I own an Excelerator 18" which is just like the 15". It is on my Sovereign. The depth is very nice. Easily equal to it's diameter. I do not believe the small tagrget loss is an issue, which I wondered about before I bought it. I found a small solid gold heart the size of a pea at 9" on the salty wet sand. Pinpointing is no different than my stock 10" coil. If you know how to pinpoint with a DD coil you will be fine. The only warning I would have for you is if the area is trashy, you will have a hard time with target seperation. As far as the 12" I have no experience.

iv owned both the WOT and S12 .on my GT i like the S12 much better.you can run the sensitivity wide open with it.my WOT could only run it at 3 .two of my buddies have the WOT and can both only turn there sensitivity around 3 or 4 . the S12 is far more stable in salt sand and also much lighter.iv used both on the same GT and see no diff in depth between the 2.

Thanks for the input. After the reading on the forums, I am leaning toward the S-12, but just like to hear some user advice, thanks

I just ordered the S-12. After all of the reading on the forums, it seems that this will work best for me. I also ordered an S-1 sunray probe. Hope fully I will find some great stuff quick so I can pay off the credit card bill! 8)
