I know nothing about old bottles except there's a lot of neat looking oldies out there.
Found this one, fits perfectly in the grip of my hand, anyone know what it could've been for or it's age? My brother said it has a seem so that helps date it.
On the bottom has the marks looks like: M 71, and in center is the letter "B".
Thanks!

p.s.
Also found this base to an old oil or kerosine lamp, still has a wick in it.

Chris

Hello Digginitup, the first bottle appears to be a salad oil, vinegar or sauce, most likely one of the first two. The letter 'B' here generally represents the month or year letter that the bottle was manufactured, but I'm going by the ozzie bottles. A 'B' could be the month of October, and/or the year 1858. Except, the bottle has a screw cap arrangement, so may not be that old. Angela :)

This is the first time I have posted to treasurenet forums.

Your bottle brought back old memories. In the 1960's there was a "Kool-aid" type drink liquid concentrate that came in a bottle like that. I cannot remember the name of the product, but am fairly sure that is what the bottle is.
