So, my younger brother gave me a call last night and asked me to help Identify a pendent he dug yesterday. After seeing a picture, my son recognized one of the symbols on the pendent and believes it is part of a Half Crown coin holding an Onyx stone. I have never heard of such a combination of coin jewelry. Have you? Any info on this kind of jewelry would be helpful. A very cool find for sure!

As for me, I went out for for 3 and a half hours today.

Got 3 wheats, a hand full of clad and a silver ring.

Stamped 825

I have no info on the origin of your pendant, but a very cool find nonetheless! Ddf.

That's a very cool pendant that your brother found! And that's a nice ring that you found! :icon_thumleft:

Very nice finds you and your brother made. As for his find; don't know I'm not British.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I'd love to see a couple more pics of the onyx piece ,is it possible you could be misreading 925 for 825 ? Not saying it can't be 825 , but it would be unusual in a ring context this side of Scandinavia or Russia .

Congrats on some very nice finds!

thats really cool good job

Seen lots of coin jewelry combo's but not this one.

I think the person who had this custom made was Scottish (based on the choice of which part of the coat of arms they used) & the stone was important to them as well. (just

thank you for the insight as to where the silver ring might be from. I didn't even know 825 existed..figured it was a junk ring at first because its not as shiny as other silver rings i have found. Here is a picture of the stamp under a magnifying glass.

Also, I will talk to my brother sometime this week and get some more pics of the pendent. Its a process...he sends them to my son and my son forwards them to me because my phone and his can't do pics. We can text but cant send and receive pictures direct from each other. Down right frustrating.

Thanks for the insight on the pendent. I looked everywhere for a similar pendent and could not find anything on the web. makes sense that it is custom made.
