Hey TNET,
Decided to go back out to the site where we dug the coat of New York Buttons last week with Monkeyboy, hoping for maybe a second coat.We woke up at the crack of dawn trying to make the most of our digging day. As soon as we got to the site the relics began to roll from the ground, a bullet here and there. No more than 45 minutes into the dig, I dug an absolutely beautiful token which says CHARNLLY No 11 Orange St Providence RI and on the Reverse Union 1863. I thought this was going to be the find of the day but that soon changed. I dug a signal that I knew was going to be lead and out popped what I thought was a lead poker chip. I began to put it into my pouch when I saw the other side, It had the perfect imprint of an Indian head on it. I slowly cleared some of the dirt out to try and read the date and to my amazement it was a beautiful 1862 Indian Head or imprint of one that is. So I was kind of curious what you guys would grade my Indian Head hahaha I'd have to say almost extra fine
On top of those finds we proceded to dig a pretty nice grouping of bullets, a couple nice eagle buttons and just one more New York button. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures... I made a couple of them to show before and after cleaning. Happy Huntin'
