Today myself and Deadsy went out to a local church camp. With having been there before we were too excited until Chris (Deadsy) found a Indian and penny cache/spill! Once we hit the sweet stop I pulled 6 wheats here and there. Also pulled two losers jeffs and come to find out one was a 1943-P OD Nickel. Right before we were just about to leave I got a goody mid tone...thinking it was a bullet I still dug it and it ended up being and beautiful sterling silver bracelet! It says Betty on it and there are some initials on the back. Total between the two of us we pulled 26 wheats! Pretty good day more silvers in my book! Also found a small naval pin or something of that sort and about 12" (seriously) was what looks to be a part of a bell with the letters oBo on it! Great day...I'm excited to see Deadsy's post I've been telling him for about 2 years now to join Tnet and finally did! Happy Hunting to All! Sounds like you 2 had a great time hunting that camp. If your weather is anything like we are experiencing in North central Ohio, you had great weather to hunt in. congrats on pulling a fist full of wheat, that OD nickle and the bling. :occasion14:

Nice hunt, congratulations.

Another OD makes an appearance . Nice job

Loco. Yeah man the weather is beautiful here today my kind of hunting weather

Nice set of finds. Well done. Congrats!

I always smile when I see that term: OD Nickel.

Nice finds!

Is it possible that the "bell" fragment could be a fragment of a butt cap from a flintlock pistol? Curvature of the item and what looks like the beginning of the middle screw/drip point?

Then again, its very possible i'm just seeing something that isn't there.

Its a good possibility but it's kind of round...I just took a wild guess...the letters look like old writing like late 1700s early 1800s and this area defibately has the history so I guess it could be either or...were gonna hit it back up tommorow so maybe I'll find other pieces of it!

great finds, I saw his post too, you guys killed it out there, that is part of a petal bell/crotal bell, indicates a nice old site!

See you in the morning bud! Hopefully we'll do just as good tommorow!
