Latest Cellar Hole Finds: 1841 LC, Huge (Marked) Crotal Bell, More...

Got back to the foundation site I hit last week where I found 2 LCs (1847, ?). I'm really trying to get more used to the v3i so I decided to use it yesterday and see what I might have missed with the xlt. Sure enough, I found another large cent, 1841, in an area I definitely went over last time. It was a nice sounding signal about 8 inches deep. As I was looking around the site and deciding where to search next, I noticed another foundation right next to the one I was already hunting! This particular one was huge...not sure if it was actually for a house...maybe someone can help me out here.

At the 2nd foundation I got the really nice big crotal bell, marked OBO and OVO. Also got a few unknown items....anyone have an idea?

Thats a great looking croatal bell,yours is a lot more detailed that the one I found last week(my first one)

So for your unknown pieces I know for a fact that the bottom picture is the finger piece from an old candle stick holder. I have found many of these at colonial house sites as well as civil war camps. Nice bell by the way too!

Great score on the large cent and crotal bell it's been quite a while since I've found either.
