Well today was just perfect for dirt diggin here in Bama. When we got to the site Nana just couldn't wait to play in the daffodils.

I was really trying hard to grid and finally came up with a coin but I can't find one like it online so I don't know what it is.
Any one out there got a clue?

Also found a miners tag, a dog tag, and a honkin knife among other junque...uh, treasures. I didn't bother taking a pic of the bucket that weighed about 20 lbs. full of iron and about 22, 30-06 shells.

For the coin, try looking up a Philippines One Centavo.

Excellent hunt Bug and Nana! What kind of site is it? Farm, camp, homesite?

Keep safe...

Great finds! You two certainly make a awesome duo.Nana really looks serious out there.Must have forgot her 'LiL Debbies'.

I was wondering the same thing...is that just an open field or part of some unfarmed property..

nice new backup digging tool you got there

Ah, daffodils! We're at least a month and a half away, at least. Glad to see someone's enjoying them. And detecting, of course.

:D And play I did! Had a great time hunting with the girls yesterday! Temps in the 70's, nice warm sunshine and the daffodil's blooming. Couldn't have been much better! About midway through the hunt I hear Lisa hollering, "I found a coin!" Since this site doesn't seem to have them hopping out of the ground, we go scurrying over to see what she'd found. OK...what did she find? :P :D The rest of the afternoon our minds were going through all the coins we had seen posted...seen in books...or maybe even while searching the internet for some unknown coin someone might have listed in the what's it forum in the past. I didn't have a clue! Lisa had found a military button here on her last trip, so we thought that it maybe it was a coin brought back from a serviceman. Happy to see it identified!
This site is in a pasture. There is an old well there and daffodil's to lead the way to a long gone house site. ;) It's already been hunted by others, but we still manage sometimes to find a few keepers. You did good, Leese!

Nana :)

Aaaaaah, spring...

Looks like you both had a great time Nana, I know I would have on that kind of terrain.

Nat

srcdco - yep, that's it...thanks so much for the ID

Sherm, Half, Nat & Nick - now its 29 degrees and all of those daff's are frozen! We turn the air on in the afternoon and the heat in the morning....only in the south...

Guzz, Rudy & Pocket - It used to be an old farm...now a horse pasture. Easy detecting.

Warsaw - We've graduated from Little Debbies to Lunchables..haha

Thanks everyone!
