Had a great time gridding a farm field near Kingston, NY, with my buddy Frank (Fmerg). While I didn't get skunked, I came pretty close. I got a strong hit at about 8" deep, and dug up a really toasted "V" nickel. Frank found the date, 1854. He then proceeded to find himself a nice piece of GOLD!
Rich, (Port ewen ace) came by as I was getting ready to pack it in for the day, and showed me some of his incredible finds from the fields we were hunting. Always nice to see these guys, and I always learn something from them!
