Playing in the dirt today with my son making a pretend cabage garden for his invisible animals we both seen this odd shade of green pop out. Well i sat it to the side for a bit then brushed the dirt off well dang what do ya know a Cap plate missing the wings with a touch of silver on it still , bit a looking comes out to be a around 1836ish Inf cap plate i think , still a really cool find even if not complete , not sure how many are found , but enjoy and happy hunting / pretend gardening with the kids

Maybe some more gardening is just what your yard needs. Funny how we travel miles to dig something cool like this and all along, there are relics close to home.

I wish I had stuff that old in my yard Nice find

Congrat's on the eagle! Never know what's going to pop out of the ground:thumbsup:

Congrats on your inf. cap plate find while out pretend gardening with your son and thanks for sharing and wish you many more great finds.
