This was a suprise... Same house where I have been finding Colonial era coins/relics. It was a low signal that I probably passed on, but since the yard is now virtually devoid of signals, I decided to dig. At first I thought I'd found a convex Tombac button, but then I saw the handle. My first salt spooon--silverplate with a hallmark! Art-Krupp, Berndorf, with the image of a standing bear. Best I can tell it was made in Austria and dates to the late 19th c. It's a beautiful little spoon and was a pleasant surprise!

Wow, awesome silver!

Nice little spoon for sure , but more like later 19th -earlier 20th century would be my estimate

Yes, I just saw the typo :( -- I meant to type 19th Century!! Any idea how to change the title of a post?? I have seen it done, but I just can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Regardless of which century made, it is artistically a well-balanced little spoon, and in super condition -- DELIGHTFUL! Andi

That's a nice looking spoon, cool find.

That spoon is a beauty indeed! Came out awesome!

Thanks HSD! It did come out quite nice with a bit of dish soap and a few coats of baking soda and water. It looks great in person.

Nice finds Erik in NJ.

If the mark's circle's diameter measures 3.9 mm, then it was used until about 1930.
If the circle's diameter measures 5.8 mm, that mark was used between 1930 and 1938. Great catch !
Don.......

Cool find, I love these types of spoon!
