Found this old cuff link and am hoping someone out there might know more about it. It was found at a depth/area consistent with the early 1900s. The face obviously depicts a beautiful woman, but does anyone recognize the depiction? The front of the cuff link is silver plated. There are no maker's marks. That's about all I know! Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated! HH!

I'm not expert, but if I were to guess, I'd say early 1920s. It's really cool!!!!

Look closely. This is the image of a woman with ram horns. The horns normally depict some kind of Greek or Roman deity. If you Google "woman with ram horns" you will find several sites that talk about this. Nice find!

That's awesome

Great observation! I can't believe those horns were staring me in the face the whole time and I didn't see them until you mentioned it. Time to brush up on my mythology. Thanks!

I own a pair with the exact shape, they are brass and date to 1950-1960. mine are scroll design---no lady

Ditto to what Tommy said--I see Ram's horns/swirls. What a gorgeous piece. ~Lisa

To me it looks more like a helmet. I would guess Athena.

Awesome find BTW :)

I'm with Tommy also. It looks like its Greek.

I'm seeing it as more of a headdress design myself versus horns.

Funny -- now I see a helmet or headdress! The power of suggestion! If it were horns, it does seem like they would be facing the other way.

For age, I am very confident it was dropped in the early 1900s. I know the ground here so well and depth is a very accurate indicator of drop age at this particular location. 7" here is consistent with 1900-1920, so it certainly could have been made in the late 19th century/art nouveau.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, opinions, and links. Sometimes half the fun of finding something is trying to figure it out :)

My first thought was "Cleopatra"
Congrats on a nice find

That is one beautiful piece. If I found that I would admire the thing every night like I do with my favorite finds. Nice job!
