I googled a bit and found the person that made these replicas (Peter Rosa- Becker Reproductions Inc.), passed in 1990. I contacted the family at CoinReplicas Corp. and they agreed that it is one of his creations most likely made sometime in the 50's to 60's. It was made of Silver over lead. Seems after his passing the coins became popular but I still have yet to see this one and still unsure if there is any value to it. On one site someone posted they spotted one at a Civil War show for sale for $500. but what someone ask and what someone gets are two different things, I found another Becker coin on Ebay(not like this, and not as nice) with a starting bid of $100. but I will have to keep looking until I get more info. I do believe that some of the Major coin grading companys do grade these which I found odd since they are replicas. Rosa's theory was not to make fakes but to make the coins available so that people could hold and appreciate them if they could not afford or own the real ones. Do to the size of this it would never pass as the real coin. I think it's neat either way.
