Been quiet on here a few years but

Family obligations have allowed me to do a lil more hunting this winter...found what I think was either a small camp or a civ skirmish site...have found several minis and buttons there this year but tonight things got good. Due to the wind and the chilly weather I slowed down and worked an area close to the treeline to protect me from the wind, here's the dividends.... been finding alot, like 10 to 1 in digs of small rivets and their pieces some with leather still in the middle, but tonight that same signal that I dug anyway yielded an 1853 half dime, my second and first silver for this site, also found a cuff sized gold gilt(sp?) eagle button with R in the shield, ID greatly appreciated... FUN FUN!

thats cool..your down beckley area...theres probably some good hot spots down your way isnt there? yea i dont know him, im a veteran as well, i just ets'd got out back in 2011 after 14 yrs army reserve... i was in 326th over in beverly...

I got 12 years in myself with the 150th...there's a few hot spots down this way, but I figure there are plenty of old sites up toward Parsons, been wanting to get out that way myself.
