Welcome to Treasure Net !!
Not much help to you here, but it's something:
The pottery factory known as Merkelbach & Wick was founded by Friedrich Wilhelm Merkelbach II and Georg Peter Wick in 1872 in the Westerwald town of Grenzhausen (now known as Höhr-Grenzhausen). It was here they produced beer steins and related products under the Merkelbach & Wick name until 1921, when the factory name was changed to Wick-Werke. Wick-Werke continued production until the business became bankrupt in 1984. The factory was demolished in 1999.
Don....
PS: Second thought: There may be a mark on the bottom that might narrow the date.

This site seems like it could put an approximate age to it; Welcome to Stein Marks.
Is there no model # on the bottom? That would help find a match rather quickly.

Welcome to Stein Marks.

Take a look at stein marks website and compare your stein's mark to what they show here - if it also has a 'west germany' stamp you can know that it was made between 1949 and 1990 (when west germany existed). if it just says germany, it could be pre WWII or post unified Germany (post 1990). The nested (or double) W mark is 1960's-1980's. The A with a nested G with two W's at the base of the A was used thru out, so you'll have to use the germany vs west germany to get an idea of age. Hope it helps!
