Beginner's luck?
Howdy all,
My wife and I love this site and decided to give CRH'ing a try at our local bank. We'd never done it before. We live out in the sticks and thought that we might be the only ones in the area doing it. I asked one teller if they had any large size dollar coins and half dollars. She pulled a single '84 half dollar and an Eisenhower dollar out of the drawer, so I asked if they had more in the vault. She told me to speak with the head teller, who audits all that stuff, and said that she had a bag. We went to her, and her bag was a ziploc, with $55.50 worth of JFKs. She mentioned older coins, so I said, "the older the better." To which she replied, "these aren't very old." Anyways, I bought the bag, and after going through it, we ended up with 8 silvers:
2x 90% both 1964
6x 40%
One question: I didn't buy the Ike. Was that a rookie mistake?
