The main street though my town of Lafayette, Colorado was once the north south highway 287. When I first moved here main street known as Public Road was still the route you took, before a bypass was completed a few years after I moved here in 1987. Recently they completely draped a coffee shop along Public Rd. with warning signs of asbestos removal in progress. When they took off the draping this was revealed.
