Agreed Trk5capt most likely it is a woman's belt perhaps from that era.
The belt was found on a path not far from where plenty of wemon would have lived in that time era. The belt's links are 2" by 2". It appears to be made of copper and was found at about 3" underground. Haven't made out yet if its a very elongated Y on the links, an A without the center line, or a V.
The path it was found on is a path created probably in the 1920's. It was a well travelled walking path for many years. Their was also many peps living on each side of the trail that had family members in WWII. That was the source of my question about the belt. I figured it most likely a fashion belt, however a small nagging voice said "Perhaps its a war relic of sorts, A V for victory type of belt that a woman might have worn during WWII showing pride in her friend or loved one in the war. However, I have been unable to locate any such mention of a V belt for WWII. It's not impossible, but most it is most likely improbable.
