Best and worst customer service

I'm sure that every detector company has issues with customer service. And I'm sure some are worse than others, But for me personally, I will PROBABLY never own another Garrett machine.
WHY???

I don't know what happened to "Pauln" He or She don't know………..Could be male could be female………………... asked the question and then after some answers never replied to any ??????????????

Not saying I would never own one again, and I'm sure the newer machines are as good as anything else out there, but I got burned years ago on Garrett grand master hunter. Shortly after I got it, the speaker broke loose inside and shorted out the circuit board. Garrett did send me a new replacement machine pretty quick, but after 3 or 4 hunts with it, the plastic handle became loose and finally broke. Garrett sent me another one, and I turned right around and sold it. Their service was great, but it was just a poorly designed machine. Anyways, things change and who knows, someday maybe I'll become a believer again! :dontknow:

One that hasn't been mentioned yet is Fisher. I have an old 1266X and it finally (I thought) took the long dive into oblivion. Sent it in and for a few dollars got essentially a brand new machine. Replaced quite a few of the electronics on the board, new coil (they said it was noisy - guess I had just gotten used to it), rewired the battery connections and a couple of other things. Got the quote back in a couple of days after I sent it and had it fixed and back to me no more than 10 days after I sent it in to get looked at. My thanks to Felix and that group.
