Hello all, brand new to the forums. I want to thank everyone for all the great posts of experiences and reviews. I'm currently living in northern Colorado and I've panned a lot of fine gold from the area, but I'd like to upgrade to a better detector. I've got an old school bounty hunter and surprisingly it has been a hoot for what it cost. I've been reading about the AT Pro and Gold. I've seen a couple stories about how swapping coils will help the Pro find nuggets, but my question is how that compares to turning on all metal mode on the Gold? I still want to be able to hit the parks that I've already visited and hope the upgrade will find what I've missed with the bounty hunter. I've been told GB2 so many times I wake up saying it. Anyway I appreciate and welcome any and all feedback. I'd like to stay in the $800 range cause my gal told me $600 haha.

Thanks again,

Joe

Colorado is known for fine gold, rather than nuggets. Unless you are going to travel to nugget rich areas like CA or AZ a new detector may not result in any nugget finds, unless you know that others have been found there.

Gold bug 1 or 2....or maybe a G2.
