Here is a find you don't see every day and I just got it back restored. You are looking at a Mark 1 practice bomb. First American bombs dropped from airplanes. Jenny bi-planes to be exact. Circa 1917. I find these in lake St Clair in Michigan. Found two this year. This is the first one I have ever had restored. 39 inches long. When full 100lbs.

After sandblasting:

Complete. New fins and a brass top:

Great finds, saves, and restoration on the practice bombs. Well Done.

Like that cannon better :)

Like it. Nice job:icon_thumright:

Incredible, thanks for sharing Scuba! So the pilot must have just thrown it out of the plane right?

Sorry, didn't see that they weighed 100 pounds! Guess they didn't throw them.

Very unusual find for sure. Great restoration job. Congrats

Wow those are cool!!

How deep are you finding them?

They were attached to the plane by a cable and the pilot had to pull it. These are found in 6 - 8 foot of water.

Robert wow that's freakin awesome great job on getting them restored. I would love those in my living room
