Best sand scoop for hunting in ocean

Can some of you more experienced folks help me with what kind of long handled sand scoop I should buy for beach hunting? Going to be for mostly hunting ocean beaches in/out of water. Thanks in advance! I really enjoy having you seasoned vets sharing what you’ve learned!

You're gonna get a ton of opinions here!! Some guys have a couple for different beach types like heavy shell or gravel, or plain wet sand or dry sand. There are many more styles out there today than even five years ago with some great designs. I have a six year old Stavro with a fiberglass handle from a post hole digger, it's a pretty good all around scoop. Stavro has been heavily copied and many here prefer American made scoops.

I recommend a Stealth 920 with a carbon fiber handle. Pretty expensive but I've had lots of scoops and it's my favorite by far. Strong and light too.

X2........ Sunspot Stealth 920ix with carbon fiber shaft is my favorite too. I added the heavy duty lift assist handle to mine also.

Sunspot Stealth 920 for fresh drops, 720 for deep dig old beach's. But take note Sunspot has changed owners and some of there polices have changed also.

I use a couple of Stavr scoops, and both have served me VERY well, he has an eBay store. Just returned from a Caribbean vacation and found a nice portable scoop on eBay from a different seller. The smaller scoop fits in checked luggage very nicely.

Yea, I like my stealth 920ix (with carbon handle and lift assist) so much that I'm about to send in my second scoop for replacement...I guess this will be my third 920ix in 3 years. Personally, they last me about a year (actually 4 months) of serious digging. [I'm not your regular MDer; I consider myself an extremist MDer willing to dig and go anywhere for Gold.] But they're guaranteed for life - I think it might be the life of the scoop or my life, whichever comes first. I'll have to add a pic later of my most recent crushed scoop (sides and back cave-in). But I really like the scoop.

I been using a RTG pro heavy gauge aluminum 2 piece travel scoop for like the last 15 yrs
take on every plane trip - has large "basket" - scoop once instead of 3 or 4 times on fresh drops
can dig deep and handle will not bend/or break and welds will not break
friend had a weld break on his scoop the other day and have been with other hunters
where welds broke or handle broke and ended their day

i had them make me an RTG aluminum one with a stainlees lip special for me to help cut into muck/clay and other
hard bottom areas
they now offer one

I have the Stealth 720i hybrid and it works great. I have the wood handle. It works great but is a bit heavy. I would recommend a carbon fiber handle.

I have an RTG 6"x11" heavy duty aluminum scoop that I destroyed 2 years ago (but still use as backup, wired together). Stealth 920ix destroyed last year (replaced for free and upgraded to Stealth Extreme - has little slots in back for catching small targets) and destroyed Extreme this year (sending in for replacement at end of my season, May). I hunt in heavy sand and rocks and haven't found a scoop that can handle it (or me?). Was thinking about going to a narrow spade and then use a pointer in wet sand...but what about in water? Love my carbon fiber handle (broke 3 wood handles in 2 years so would not recommend wood) and like my lift assist handle on my current Stealth.
