Hand = Lesche or Predator Raptor
Shovel = Lesche Sampson

I love a nice sharp Hori-Hori knife in soft grass/sod.

Lesche 48, and cheaper dull Hori Hori Graphite knife for the time being. Will look at a Lesche Sampson T eventually.

Lesche 48, and cheaper dull Hori Hori Carbon Stelle Blade knife for the time being. Will look at a Lesche Sampson T eventually.

I often use a plain 5 in1 paint tool for cutting small plugs, just get a decent one and not a harbor freight special.

Garden Trowel - Stainless Steel 14" Long, its on amazon, with the red handle. sharpen the front tip, and drive it into the ground making a U. Then pop the plug up and you have a nice little plug. No sawing, side to side, just drive in pull out, drive in pull out, drive in and pop up.

Lesche rocks but might want to put a nice little edge job on it with a file and some oil. I bought a Lesche all purpose shovel. It is little more rounded than i like but it scoops out the dirt i find a bit better than the sampson. No doubt the sampson is a killer shovel. I say just shoot to have a few different tools or the trade. Never hurts to have a extra setup. Who knows, a buddy might want to tag along and get aquatinted to this addictive hobby.

I just snapped my stainless hori-hori two days ago. Full tang, highest reviews on Amazon....lasted maybe 6 months. It was awesome at the parks leaving nearly invisable damage.

I have the raptor, should have been prying with it instead. Anyone who can snap the Raptor from Predator tool....you're more man than I.

Looking at new knives this week myself. :laughing7:
