This is the wrap up of one of my best sites. It is a homesite that dates back to the late 1700's. I believe it saw action as a civil war field hospital. It has been a amazing place to dig. To me this place will never be dug out but I believe this will be the bulk of the finds here. Over all I would guess more than 30 trips here and more than 100 hours. No included in the photos are more than 100 wheat pennies a pill of buffalo nickels, a few mercs, a 1914 barber half, a few large cents, a CW general service eagle staff button, and more than 50 flat buttons.

Some amazing finds you have there. Is that a South Carolina belt buckle in the photo at lower left?

Yes it is. It is from a Round the 1850's and is one of the rarest confederate plates to find.
