Thinking of getting another Tesoro for Jewelry hunting in newer parks and on the beach(dry sand). So since targets shouldnt be too deep, a preset GB machine should do for me in this case. I am considering the following but am open to others also: Silver Sabre Umax, Compadre w/8" coil, Golden Umax, Conquistador Umax, Cibola..... Give me some opinions please.....thanks.

All of those mentioned will work fine so long as you don't use to much Disc. Make sure what ever detector you choose can sound off on a thin white gold ring and you'll do fine. Stay in dry sand.

I have heard people say that the compadre beats the silver umax all day on jewelry.....i have owned both and i think the compadre gives a clearer "round sound" on good targets.....but cant see where the 12khz done better on jewelry than the 10khz....This is what i am trying to get opinions on.

Silver uMax is the bomb on jewelry, as is the Cibola.

I always said, If the Silver Umax was a few inches deeper it would be my favorite detector i have ever used.

Every Tesoro that I've ever used was hot on gold jewelry.
