I am fairly certain that the rusted piece on the left is a 1/4 turn fastener receptical, usually found on canvas items. Similar to this plastic one. Easy Install Plastic Turn Fasteners (4 Pieces) Product Photos,Easy Install Plastic Turn Fasteners (4 Pieces) Product pictures -
No idea on the gold looking item.

the RD thing looks kinda like the logo used by Readers Digest on some of their giveaway stuff some years ago

Ah! So it was a readers digest canvas bag all the parts came from. I'm just guessing from all the info above.
