So I have been exploring my new property, which has been a parcel for a couple hundred years, in an area that has been populated much longer than that.
There is a LOT of stuff in this ground... and so far most of it has been mainly old square nails, modern nails, or tiny pieces of fence wire.
My problem is that these iron/steel items seem to register as good hits despite having iron notch up to 30 or so. Is there any way to better discriminate? Note: I am mainly interested in finding metal bullion in any form (rings, flatware, etc), not just coins.
Here are my settings:
Zero Mode.
Auto Ground balanced to low 80s.
Sensitivity one or two notches from max.
Threshold set to faint buzz.
Iron notch to 30.
Am I doomed to dig every nail in the yard, in addition to any good finds? Lol.
