You might consider visiting Arkansas’ Crater of Diamonds State Park.
Late September 2013, a San Antonio man, Clay Jarvos, searched this open field for only 90 minutes before finding a 2.13 carat diamond, estimated value $15,000+.
(FYI – Since 1906 more than 75,000 diamonds have been unearthed there.)
