Better of 2018 so far

[Iron Patch]

With both the Spring season and my annual Summer hunt done, I basically just needed somewhere to save some pictures for the first half of the year to grab again for my year end post. Usually I have very little for interesting or decent finds at this point, but it has been quite good so far... good enough that the Spring and Summer detecting Iron Patch has now issued a challenge to Fall detecting Iron Patch to see who can dig the best. Might as well as it looks like I'm going to easily make my $1 back from Abe from our yearly bet. He's too busy getting married or something to really compete against me. Sucker.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on which way you look at it, I would have to agree Fall IP may be in tough. It's only in the last year I broke out of a major slump and started to find old silver again, so the Spring was exceptional in that regard. And the button top right (King's American) is something I wanted for a very long time. Add in the Rest it was a great first half of the year. I think the only way I beat it is with many good finds, and one incredible one that puts it over the top. One so great is unlikely to happen, but it has been an epic last year of digging so who knows.

It is. I dug it on the 2nd hunt in the Spring. Tomorrow is our 2nd hunt for Fall.. so stay tuned.
