Funny you should ask - I hunt in all metal - so in that mode - no high or low tones BUT
in most cases I will click over quick to ID mode and check the signal quick to see if it is a low mid or high just so I have an idea
- at beaches there that were loaded with bottle caps - I passed up many loud signals that when checked that went off low - so
for everyone I dug - I passed up just as many - the Corona, heiniken and few others that use a brass wash - those go off high
(on CZ21s -highs are good -opposite of Excals) the cheaper caps go off low ---that being said
don't know why - probably cause at this beach I was getting mostly good targets - when I went over it in all metal - I think
I thought I might have a ring and did not check it in ID mode - I just scooped it ---I thought it was funny I decided not to check it
and it was 22k - and later thought I should have dropped it and checked it to see what it read as - 18k I got last month went off as high and mid tone
changing with each quick swing ---that 22k was not deep - just under the surface and read real nice in all metal - that I remember
Nice finds Casper! I have question regarding 22k ring , was tone low or high(like melted aluminum drops)? I know that u r using CZ21 but on my Excalibur 22K+ sound totally different then 14/18k, even rings.
