I had the day off today so I hit an early 1700’s plantation with a buddy. I ran the nox in a cherry picking program because this will probably be the last time we hit it before the vegetation explodes. Here’s the total haul for me for the day. Nothing spectacular but a few cool finds

Managed to find a 1925 Wheatie. My first one.

Also found another heel plate. Those are always fun and this one is the biggest I have found. I’m still waiting on that clover plate.

I also found this, which I’m not sure what it is. It’s brass and pretty big. Much bigger than a half dollar.

Also found another unidentified, it rings in the silver range on my detector and is heavy for its size. Not sure what it is but I like the design on it.

It was a pretty good day even if no silver coins were found this time.

You half dollar size round piece might be a rosette. What's the back look like?
I've only found 2 heel plates, and both were clovers.

The picture of the back is right next to it. Didn’t realize it was blurry.

Here’s a better picture

Nice selection of goodies

I love finding wheaties and the rosette is beautiful. It reminds me of an Edwardian plume.

I'm still unsure about the possible rosette after a good look at the back. Not the type of attachment I was looking for.

After some more research I believe they are the “prince of Wales” feathers. Now I just need to figure out what it is.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice hunt, glad you got out! :icon_thumleft:
