I HAVE JUST SPOTTED A SCAM ON THE WELL KNOWN AUCTION SITE, E BAY.
ITEM NO 181627286346. too good to be true save your money. Teknetics T2 under a new name
£ 315 don't think so.
I have just posted this on another forum, informed ebay and contacted Teknetics.
don't get stung like the lad on u tube.

Hi, still waiting for there reply . I also contacted Minelab as they are selling the GPX 5000 for £1165.25 so they must be fakes as the GPX are a five grand detector to buy over hear in the UK.

I was wondering what Teknetics response was cause I contacted Garrett a while ago about a fake pinpointer.
My response was that they are aware of the fakes, yet not much they can forcibly do?

I think there is only trading standards that have the power hear in the UK along with customs & excise, to confiscate and close down someone trading in counterfeit goods. But I think there is that much of it going on ,as they close one down, another one starts back up trading.
I read on the news ,
There was a container load of Minelab CTX 30 30 s, confiscated a few months ago in Dubai, all Fake from China making its way over to us the West. I think there where three arrested .

Covered this awhile back in another thread. You'll be hard pressed to NOT find a detector that's been faked. Alibaba.com is full of them and has been for many years now.
As with anything in life, if somebody can make a few bucks off it, it will be faked.
Search any brand you want, look where they are coming from.

only way we fight back is to not buy chinese crap of any description.Buying anything from those ripoff idiots fuels stuff like this.Its hard I know...but myself and my family have been successful at it(95%)for two years now and we dont feel deprived of anything.

buy u.s.a.or from a real trading partner/ally or just get what you get.

Most all of the great detectors are faked/copied.... they look exactly alike but are counterfeits... buy only from a reputable dealer.... Can you imagine buying a CTX 3030 and finding out it is not a real CTX 3030

Apparently there is no law in England forbidding sale of counterfeit imported products. I reported it as well (as best I could with the limited characters allowed).
