Pictured is one of my favorite finds. It is a nice blank or blade.
It's a very nice brown flint(I can't identify). It always gets nice attention
when I show anyone my artifacts. Thanks, Harry

that to me looks like hornstone all the way. I have one that is that color maybe even darker, it has a few chips in it and it is absolutly hornstone. nice piece though. Scott

I took a couple of new photos of her today. The second photo shows the other side. It's hard to see in the photo but it has delicate chipping along it's bottom and sides. The blade is thick, about a quarter to a half inch thick. Because of its thickness I don't believe it to be Adena or Hopewell. If I made a guess I'd say
Archaic. I found it in extreme Northern Ohio, very near Lake Erie. Would that be unusual to find a
Hornstone piece way up here?
